Usually right about now the SCF team is busy finalizing contract details and preparing to promote our beloved summer festival. But instead of choosing which artists to tease you with, proudly showing you the winning poster graphic and selling advance weekend passes we are dealing with the highly unusual situation of the advancing COVID-19 pandemic. 

 By now you are probably aware that there is a provincial health emergency here in Alberta among  other jurisdictions across the country, put in place to slow the advance of The Traveller. We want you to know that while we prepare for the SCF#34 we are monitoring the situation closely and are in touch with many other festivals across Canada to the end of making decisions regarding our respective events – our first priority is the health and safety of our audiences, artists and volunteers. 

South Country Fair is about four months away still, and we will keep you updated as the situation continues to evolve. In the meantime we encourage you to do what it takes to protect yourselves and your loved ones, and to take care of one another.
